I have been wanting to write for a long time. Since high school, I have always had to write things down. Story things. Ideas. In my notebook and on every scrap of paper I could find. The ideas in my head were so vast that I needed to give them life outside of myself.
But it stopped within the last decade. The writing, not the ideas. I lost most of sight. (my eyes). So, the writing that has been a constant part of me, had stopped. For a while, I could not see the pages. I could not see the ink. After a ton of surgeries, I can see a bit better. But not enough to fully utilize the paper and pen.
Paper & Pen
I know, paper and pen are so outdated. It is 2025 after all. I have tons of digital writings too. But the vision problems that I experienced affected how I type. I used to be good at it. But I lost something when I lost my sight. I am off kilter.
Something is just a little off. My hands don’t line up with the keyboard in the same way they used to. Sure, some of this is due to aging, but it all started there. When I finally admitted that I could no longer see enough to drive. That something needed to change.
Yes. I can see better now. But not like before. So the pen and paper days are mostly behind me. But the stories still need to be told.

Decided
Things have changed a lot in my life over the last few months. Was it for the worst? I can’t say, yet. But it sure felt like it at times. I am sure future blog posts will go into more. But for now. It was enough for me to realize that something needs to change again.
I was looking online for ideas. Those ideas got me thinking, remembering…Remembering that I had an account on WordPress. Had it for years, with the intention of using it ‘one day’ to begin my writing.
That is when I found my password and used it to log in. I selected a web domain and after a week of designing a website, here I am writing my first blog.
The Future is Brighter
Now, I have a place to not only pour out my thoughts and feelings (blogging), but to also get my stories out. To collect all the little scraps of paper and years of notebooks, dust them off, and make the stories, adventures and worlds that are and share them with the world.
